I have always dreamed of going to Europe, but going to Gamescom and Europe was everything to me a few years ago. My Journey to Germany started when I first knew about Gamescom a few years back. Realistically, I knew I could not afford it. I dreamed of going to the convention that was known for an outrageous amount of people and biggest gaming convention in the world. I had told myself in 2013 just as E3 was ending that I would try to make it and go to Gamescom in 2014. I remember once February came around, all I wanted to do is buy flight tickets.
I ended up having a pretty unfortunate circumstance and my dog needed an emergency surgery. I was happy that my dog was ok, but that meant no Gamescom. I had depleted everything I saved for Germany and so I told myself deep down inside that I was going to not miss Germany this time. Sometimes a dream is still very much alive even though it’s dormant. This year I began my eSports hosting career this year and because of that decision I have been blessed with other hosting opportunities. I never imagined how quickly it would escalate and how much I would love doing it. I am truly blessed.
When my agent told me I had booked the 2/3 hosting gigs presented, I was ecstatic but somehow blown away that mere fact I was finally going to be in Germany for Gamescom. This is what I have dreamt of my whole time being in this industry. To travel the world and talk about video games! I will be announcing which tournaments and where you can watch me in the next few days, make sure you’re following all my social media for all the latest. Thank you to EVERYONE for believing in me. Now carry on and work on your DREAMS! <3
